I am okay!

Just a quick post to say thank you for all of the emails and comments wondering where I have been and if I am okay. I AM okay! I am very busy getting ready for Halloween, and playing with my birthday presents, and getting ready for cold weather. Here is a picture of me in my layered look for fall: I like this picture a lot (if you make it bigger, you can REALLY see my big whisker humps). The down vest was a birthday present from my friend Ted, and the gray sweatshirt is the first shirt my Person EVER bought for me. This is a very good look for fall, cats. The gray sweatshirt is a wardrobe staple, and the vest adds that extra bit of warmth AND stylishness. I have tested the outfit in all the major activities in my day: sitting on top of plastic bags, napping, cleaning my toes, and of course, eating the foods -- it works in all of them! I have also been very busy blowing chunks. When it gets colder, I get even more excited about my foods than normal. I must work on this! Anyway, I promise to be better about blogging in the future. I have missed all of my friends. ESPESHULLY YOU LADY CATS. You know who you are. Mraw.

Time to blog !

Well, I finally decided to do it......to blog! It seems like I'm being left behind in this fast and furious world. Newsletters are out and blogs are in. I mean I don't even have a smart phone or what's app !! So, it is time to grab this fast and furious world by the scruff of the neck and show it who the boss is. As it was with my newsletter, I wont be posting something everyday, only when needs must. Regarding themes, well I guess I will be posting things which I need to get out of my system and things which I think may be of interest to others. My newsletter included things like latest news, tours, new CD's etc. All of these things are available on my homepage anyway so blogging opens up another dimension for me, one which will take me and my readers into the great unknown :-) Of course I will be welcoming your comments to my blogs, thumbs up or thumbs down. Manistee River - April 25 2015

Got a chance to fish with my good buddy Mike on Saturday for some Steelhead action on the Manistee River.  Mike has been one of my outdoor mentors teaching me cool things about fishing since about 1985 when we first met.  We have fished on more Adventures than I can remember. This weekend my friend wanted to help me understand Plugging and other river boat fishing techniques.  I normally spend my time wading in my favorite water, however Mike insisted that I get a taste of the action from the boat.  Having been unsuccessful in my two prior trips to the river this year, I said SURE.  It would also help me learn something new. The weather was great and we did not see many people fishing - it was opening weekend for Walleye and Trout.  As you can see from my photo below there are no other people as far as you can see.
